Typical Job Responsibilities:

Deliver direct services to students experiencing behavioral, emotional, or social challenges.

Collaborate with educators, parents, and community partners to support student well-being.

Conduct social histories, participate in IEP meetings, and create support plans.

Advocate for students and families in accessing appropriate school and community resources.

Support district initiatives related to mental health, attendance, and intervention.
Requirements:

Masters degree in Social Work (MSW)

Active Louisiana social work license (LMSW or LCSW)

Eligibility for certification through the Louisiana Department of Education (if required)

Must meet all state and federal requirements for school-based social work
